TVersity 0.9.11.3 is here with support for the Xbox 360 2007 fall update and the PS3 firmware version 2. With these new firmwares it is now possible to fast forward, rewind and skip within transcoded media with both the Xbox 360 and the Sony PS3.
We also bring experimental support for Windows Mobile and some improvements for the DirecTV HR20.

Even after updating, it still says I’m running version 9.11.2 when I go to the about box.

Yes, it says it is 0.9.11.2 but this is an error. If you download again the latest build (0.9.11.3a) this issues is fixed. You do not have to though since it is the same functionality.

Great update. Installed it, got xvid support on my xbox, and broke everything else on my xbox and ps3 lol.
I may downgrade until the next update. Half my files now show up as “corrupt”

Subtitles don’t work anymore. It worked well with the previous version. Any ideas someone?

In the release notes it says “experimental support Windows Mobile 5″, but I have been unable to find any information on how to test it. How should I proceed?
Thanks for this peace of software!

This is cool - the PS3 runs a dream with this version. Still get the random pause towards the end of the video file that’s transcoded. Great job!

It took a little bit for my system to sync up with the program, and my files weren’t showing like justin was saying, but after 5 minutes or so, there it was, and I re-added the folders, it didnt seem it import them even though they showed in the program. The fast forward is great, so is the program, thank you so much!

On PS3, in the SMB appears the correct duration of a movie, but when i open it, duration is wrong and cant see all the movie… Some files seem to doesn’t open, don’t know why. I’ve installed all the recommended codecs.
Continue the great work.

I’m afraid I never could get it working - even after a full library refresh. uninstalled/reinstalled, etc..
issue is with the audio, for some reason when it installs this version, it screws up all my audio settings, and even when I manually set it back the old correct way, it doesnt work
going back to the previous version fixes it all immediately

My files stop playing about halfway through.. Anyone else has this problem or know how to fix?

kevin, i have a problem with my files stopping half way through if they are native. it starts to stutter and says this file type is not supported (xvid). the twist is when I copy the same file onto a cd and play it from the drive it plays fine. tried everything and nothing works.
any suggestions

This program is awesome. Before this i spent hours converting videos to play on my PS3, now finally a program that actually transcodes and streams media wireless to my PS3. My only thought is improving the “custom” library options, so i can rename the titles without renaming the file or tagging the actually file. Maybe like the Windows Media Player or Real Player library.

I got a fairly older version of TVersity that might even go before version 0.7.
Before fall update 2007 for the Xbox360, TVersity worked ok and I could select the server from the media list on the Xbox360.
Now I do not see the TVersity server anymore. Should this update fix that problem?

I got TVersity working. Apparently the Windows firewall was running (I thought I turned that damn thing off…), and when I added the TVserity port to the list of allowed ports my Xbox360 detected it.
I tested the streaming with a downloaded Transformers movie but TVersity was a dissappointment for the PC. It is making the HDD rattle enormously while WMP11 handles the data much much much smoother (almost no HDD access) and slightly better.
So until TVersity is matured it is a no go for me!
