UAC is there for a good reason and once you’ve figured out how to work with it (as opposed to “around it”), I’ll be back. Until then, there are other media servers out there without this issue.

But today after I turned on my computer and then turned on the PS3, Tversity cannot connect to the network. the PS3 can not find any media servers. I have Vista, I disabled the UAC, I've allowed Tversity.exe and Mediaserver.exe access on the firewall and opened the ports on the firewall and on my router, WRT54G. Any ideas on how to fix this? This doesn't even require a reboot.<br/><br/>Open up Local Security Policy. Go to Local Policies -> Security Options. Look for User Account Control: Run all administrators in Admin Approval Mode. Change this to Disabled and it takes effect immediately.<br/><br/>If you have problems overwriting files on your existing install, just set your Tversity account (or whatever account you're installing with) to have full control over the Tversity folder and all subfolders.
